Hello!
This week got off to a rough start. On Sunday afternoon, I started languishing and if you know my mobile capabilities, I have a hard time being still. By the evening, I was tired and laying in bed and having “Sad Sunday’s” about the work week ahead.
When Monday morning came around, I attended the morning meeting with a raspy voice and a mouthful of lozenges. By the end of said meeting, I was like, I am taking the day off. And so I did, with more lozenges and mashed potatoes for dinner because I wanted bland food.
On a positive note, an electric vehicle stock I purchased a few months ago has more than doubled thanks to Biden’s Build Back Better bill. I will retire early.
That’s it. I am sick, literally, and tired.
Please enjoy this picture of Ashley Olsen at the CFDA Awards last night as a token of my absence.

Mercedes-Benz x Proenza Schouler is the the collaboration no one needed. The products read like a Target collaboration that’s edited for mass consumption.
After diagnosing myself as sick, I ordered pho from Pho Tien Thanh. Hit. The. Spot.
Phoebe Bridgers at Gucci Love Parade brought me joy.
Steven Yuen at Gucci Love Parade brought me even more joy. I am eager and excited to watch him in The Humans.
Segue to this article from The New York Times, Goodbye to the Murse, and Hello to Handbags for All, which briefly reflects on the history of bags and its future in “menswear”. Genderless. I have been carrying all types of bags for as long as I can remember and now accepting Bottega Veneta’s Intrecciato Cassette Bag as a gift. (This just in: Daniel Lee has parted ways with the brand.) Anything by The Row also is fine by me!
Alicia Kennedy’s profile in the The Creative Independent newsletter last week. I haven’t yet decided if receiving 5 emails a week from one contact is
The Death of a Sweatpant from The New Yorker profiling Scott Sternberg and the demise of Entire World but I wish it was more literal. Wish the article was a a few paragraphs longer and more in depth.
Are we ready, as a society, to switch to Signal? I’m already 95% done with IG. If no one does, I might just delete WhatsApp anyway. Altogether now! Via The Guardian, “The major difference is how each app is funded. WhatsApp is owned by Facebook, whose business model is based on advertising. Signal is privacy focused and has no desire to analyse, share or profit from users’ private information.”
I keep talking about Silk Chiffon by MUNA, but it’s is just too damn good and they performed it on The Late Late Show with James Corden this week.
The musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Once More With Feeling, turned 20 this week and I sang the album in its entirety.
Thank you for hanging out with me this morning. This newsletter just ended up being a red carpet case study. Hoping to solidify something more substantial next week. :)
