Morning!
It has been unseasonably warm and I am advocating for whatever this has been. For mental health reasons, this city could surely use more 20+ degree weather in November. I often joke about how much I want climate change to affect Toronto with the positive outcome of warmer weather all year round. Of course there will be drawbacks, but warmer weather nonetheless sounds really nice for a palm tree in a public park don’t you think? It would really make this city more tolerable. Anyway, yes and no to climate change. (I’m kidding. Or am I…)
Because of aforementioned warm weather, I went for a rather long walk Saturday afternoon basking in the sun and participating in consumerism. I’m in the market for really nice plates and also at a really nice price. Two things that don’t go together in the dinnerware category. Maybe these? But I think I will probably get the Full Plates from Our Place. I was thinking of purchasing these EQ3 Super Mugs in person, but they weren’t along the walking path. I also need these wine glasses and was about to purchase them, however I am also trying to drink less. Social situations of 3 or more people only. These are some things I wanted to buy on Saturday. I’m really particular so I purchased nothing.
That afternoon, we stopped by Lost and Found. I’m not the Lost and Found demographic, but I’m not not the demographic either. I am in the market for 1-2 pairs of pants and a sweater and/or shirt. I stumbled on this shirt by Schnayderman's. The price was alarming, but the shirt was interesting enough to justify the price. It has a subtle print with a boxy oversized fit. At $350, I thought deeply about it. I went home and did some research about the brand and the shirt itself. Unfortunately, the fabric was shy of 60% plastic (polyester and polyamide). I am a big believer in no synthetic fibres in clothing unless necessary (e.g. - swim shorts). I am a big proponent of ruminating, cogitater, considerer, what have you, it helps to just think about anything before making any kind of decisions.
So, at the end of the really long afternoon walk, all I purchased was a bottle of chardonnay from California for a dinner party that evening.

Wealthsimple got rid of their cash app because there was very low adoption. RIP @coolasian.
Good vibes because I did not pay attention to American politics at all the last couple weeks. Me:
So much Soon noodles now that I go to work often and don’t want to spend money on food.
I have graduated from pumpkin loaf to apple crisp from Minimalist Baker topped with Honey’s Atlantic Salted Caramel ice cream. Divine.
Alert the media because Phoebe Bridgers is engaged???
A really good song, ethereal:
An americano at 5PM on Saturday. I can’t describe how good it feels to have coffee in the evening. Enlightenment really.
Impromptu cocktail at Parallel. Can confirm there was at least 3 people present.
‘I’m Afraid for My Future’: Proposed Laws Threaten Gay Life in Russia at The New York Times. Heartbreaking.
Enjoying climate change, but also looks like I am suffering from IBS on the street.
Winter is coming next week.
