Good Morning!
I pulled my lower back muscle yesterday morning trying to wrestle my cat. He likes to wake me and my partner Daniel at 6AM every morning. For that, we put on a winter vest and he falls right back asleep. I haven’t had good sleep since I became a parent. I empathize with parents who have human babies.
On a lighter note, as we’re gearing towards the end of summer (sadly), I mastered how to make cold brew. I attempted it a few times last summer and it never panned out. This time, I just put ground coffee with cold water in a mason jar and the next day I have cold brew. Can you believe they charge a few dollars for that shit? I am literally using sub-par coffee by President’s Choice and it has kept me alive all pandemic.
This week’s newsletter isn’t going anywhere. It doesn’t have a theme really. I am just letting you know I am taking a sabbatical for the rest of summer. I’ll probably return at the height of the federal election.
In case you’re wondering, no I am not voting for Justin Trudeau. I did see some NDP canvassers out my window yesterday evening and I am feeling optimistic my generation will do the right thing. For those progressive canvassers on my street, sadly, the majority of homeowners on my street had conservative signs from the last provincial and federal election.
See you post-sabbatical,
Perry
P.S. - The comment section is open! Tell me what you are doing/did this summer? How are your stocks doing? Are you apathetic by world events at this moment? What did you read?
