Morning!
Over the weekend, while exercising, I put on Christine and the Queen’s Chaleur Humaine’s album. During the moment between pushups and shoulder presses, it dawned on me that the album is really, really good. Dare I say, better than Chris? It feels really vulnerable and penetrable to people’s empathy.
Lately, I've been thinking about people's morning coffee routine. Do people brush their teeth and then have coffee? Or, do people have coffee and then brush their teeth? I am the latter. I have two single americanos and then proceed to brush my teeth, before lunch. What’s your routine? I am dying to know, as much as I am literally dying to take a vacation.
The great resignation is here and apparently so is the great regret over at The Guardian. It implies that essentially regardless of where you go to seek better work environment, the demands are all the same. Last summer, I experienced a four day work week. And by fall, I went back to five days. I can tell you that, through experience: four days > five days. I also believe that older generations need to retire and let new generations define what work actually means. More human centric and less of corporate’s bottom line.
Short king spring is here. Honestly, any discourse surrounding height in courtship is really dry. I do think we should discuss short man syndrome because that’s a real danger to modern society.

I am officially subscribed to The New York Times again at $4CAD a month. All you need to do is cancel and then resubscribe for that ~promo~ offer. Oh how I missed the real estate / style / t magazine section.
Natasha Rothwell Is in Her Brené Brown Life Stage at The Cut. Most underrated Insecure character who’s “growth” we have not really witnessed.
Nasty Dumps And The Success Of BlogTO at Canadaland. I tread the clickbait headlines lightly. To click or not to click.
Get yourself diagnosed from those social media people who point at things and words pop up. (I am embarrassed for people who do those videos.) Viral Symptoms: The Rise of Mental Health Diagnosis Videos on TikTok for The Walrus.
I Love That For You is giving me The Other Two, but with Vanessa Bayer lying about having cancer again from childhood to keep her job. But also watch for Molly Shannon.
Folks, we have another trailer: The Flight Attendant season 2. The first season started strong and then the ending took a weird turn. But we’re back for Cassandra’s (Kaley Cuoco) bullshit and Annie’s (Zosia Mamet) zero bullshit tolerance.
Charli XCX’s new album, Crash, on rotation over the weekend. It’s a bop! That’s what the kids are saying these days. Can you guess what song she sampled below? Find out here.
Accepting donations to purchase a set of 4 of the Super Mug from EQ3. $158.15 with tax, to be exact. I also spotted Dione Davis in EQ3’s Embrace You campaign. She’s a freelance stylist and former styling director at Tibi. I am a huge fan of her personal style and styling work.
How One of New York’s Best Indian Restaurants Makes Dosas at Eater. I haven’t watched Eater in a couple of years because every episode is meat-centric in a way that it feels like you’re walking into a butcher shop. But one of their latest episode is all about dosas! And the two folks in the episode have such good energy.
Severance offers you the choice to separate your work self, from your personal self. When you leave work, you have no memory of your work self. When you enter work, you have no memory of your personal self. It's the ultimate philosophical exploration of ethics. The writing is really good, the pacing is really good, the set design is really good, the suspense is really good. The show allows you to explore your curiosity because you are left with more questions than answers.
Is March too long?
